Geocaching and literacy!

June is the perfect month to have some outdoor adventures!

Our class participated in a geocaching adventure this week.

 Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.


Our cache containers held items that will help us write a creative story...characters, setting, event and a random prop were all hidden inside and waiting to be found.

We had some grade 8 helpers that were our navigators and our photographers.


All students found this activity to be fun, active, creative and challenging...just to name a few adjectives described after the experience.
