Flat Friends Adventures

This year as part of our Social Studies curriculum we are learning about different countries around the world.  As a way to "flatten" the walls of our classroom and open ourselves to learning about the world in a more authentic way we have made "global friends".  Our main project with our global friends has been to send and receive "Flat Friends" as inspired by the "Flat Stanley" book series.  Our class has enjoyed this experience and are learning quite a bit about how similar kids around the world really are.  Our adventures can be found on the following link of our blog:
